Maltose is a malt syrup that is less sweet than sugar, honey and fructose. Greek Wall Maltose is a thick, golden syrup sweetener made from malt. It can be a sugar substitute in recipes. Maltose sugar is less sweet than honey, and only 1/3 as sweet as white sugar. It dissolves easily in water.

Uses:

It can be used in frozen desserts and hard candy due to its tolerance to heat and cold. It can be used in tomato and barbecue sauces for thickening and sweetening without the overly sweet taste.
